Dr. Gabe Ignatow is the Chair of the Department of Spanish and Professor of Sociology. His recent research focuses on implications of systems theorizing in the life sciences for sociological theory and research, new ways of theorizing social class in research on health inequality, and the sociology of money. He is proficient in Spanish and Turkish, and has conducted research in Turkey, Lithuania, and Malaysia.
